On January 19, Prinx Chengshan successfully rolled off its first off-the-road giant tire 30.00R51. Liu Jinjun, Deputy Secretary of the Rongcheng Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, visited the green and intelligent off-the-road tire factory of Prinx Chengshan, and witnessed this exciting moment together with Che Hongzhi, Chairman of Chengshan Group Co., Ltd., Che Baozhen, President, Shi Futao, Vice President, and Jiang Xizhou, Executive President of Prinx Chengshan Holdings Limited.
Liu Jinjun, Deputy Secretary of the Rongcheng Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, and Che Hongzhi, Chairman of Chengshan Group, jointly unveiled Prinx Chengshan’s first off-the-road giant tire. This marks a crucial phased achievement in the construction of Prinx Chengshan’s green and intelligent off-the-road tire factory, and is of great significance for the Company to improve its high-end product portfolio and fill the gap in the domestic high-end off-the-road tire sector.
The newly manufactured giant tire (Model: 30.00R51), with an outer diameter of nearly 3 m and a single-unit weight of 1.8 t, is specifically engineered for extra-large dump trucks operating in open-pit mining area. These trucks can carry loads over 120 t, with a gross vehicle weight exceeding 200 t. Featuring a wide and deep lateral tread groove, the tire delivers exceptional traction and grip under the complex and harsh working conditions of mining sites, ensuring precise, stable, and safe handling during heavy-load transportation. The innovative shoulder cooling groove, combined with the shoulder groove, promotes effective heat dissipation, thereby mitigating core safety risks such as tire blowouts and delamination. This design safeguards the lives of mining personnel, enhances cost efficiency in heavy-duty transport for open-pit mining area, and contributes to the high-quality development of modern mining operations.
With the upsurge in infrastructure investment and the accelerated modernization of the mining industry, the global market demand for high-end off-the-road tires keeps rising steadily. Prinx Chengshan adeptly guided actions according to market trends and initiated the construction of its green and intelligent off-the-road tire factory in 2025. With a total investment of over CNY 1.1 billion and a floor area of more than 100,000 square meters, the project features a planned annual production capacity of 84,000 engineering tires and 10,000 giant tires. Its products are widely applied to various scenarios such as mines, construction sites, ports, airports, agriculture and industry. This strategic layout not only demonstrates Prinx Chengshan’s resolve to optimize its high-end product portfolio, but also will effectively drive the transformation and upgrading of China’s off-the-road tire industry towards high-end, green, intelligent and clustered development, accelerating the domestic localization of high-end off-the-road tires.
During the construction phase of the project, Prinx Chengshan has consistently upheld the core philosophy of "High-End Intelligence and Green Environmental Protection", fully implemented the principles of independent innovation, smart manufacturing, green development and circular development, and built modern workshops and supporting public utility facilities to stringent standards. In addition, through the deployment of rooftop solar power generation systems and other initiatives, the project has effectively promoted energy conservation and carbon reduction in the factory, ensured green and energy-efficient development, demonstrated Prinx Chengshan’s firm commitment to sustainable development, and established itself as another benchmark practice for the Company in implementing the "Industry 4.0" concept.
In the future, Prinx Chengshan will leverage its five R&D centers in Rongcheng, Qingdao, Thailand, Malaysia and Europe, as well as its North American Technology Center.
