From May 20th to 21th, the pilot study on sustainable supply chain management of Prinx Chengshan was successfully launched, which was jointly organized by Prinx Chengshan Quality Management Center, Purchasing Center and Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
This project is a forward-looking project based on the national policy background of "doing a solid job in carbon peaking, carbon neutralization, and formulating the action plan for carbon peaking before 2030". It aims to analyze the possible environmental and social responsibility risks of tire enterprises and their suppliers, explore the possible carbon emission reduction opportunities in cooperation with suppliers, and jointly explore the value and opportunities of future supply chain development.
As a listed company with a history of 45 years, Prinx Chengshan has always actively fulfilled its social and environmental responsibilities, has been rated as the leader and benchmark of energy consumption in the industry for many years. This time, through the platform of industry university research project, the company grafted the scientific research resources of first-class universities, focused on improving the overall economic, environmental and social interests of the supply chain, and avoided the environmental and social responsibility risks of suppliers. This Project is a response of Prinx Chengshan as a corporate citizen to the national strategy of "Carbon Peak, Carbon Neutral".
The meeting lasted for two days and was divided into two parts. The first part is the ice breaking training for senior executives of the company. The management of Prinx Chengshan, the person in charge of the business center and the management of Shandong plant participated in the exchange, and deeply learned the relevant knowledge of green sustainable supply chain and "Carbon Peak, Carbon Neutral". The second part is the professional training for suppliers, with dozens of participants from more than 10 representative suppliers including Shandong Chambroad Sinopoly New Material Co., Ltd., Junma Tyre Cord Co., Ltd., Sino Legend (China) Chemical Company Ltd.and Rhine Chemical (Qingdao) Co., Ltd. During the meeting, the supplier representatives actively exchanged and shared, and obtained the targeted guidance from experts at the operational level.
As a company level strategy of Prinx Chengshan, industry university research cooperation plays an important role in grafting high technology, stimulating enterprise innovation and improving the level of supply chain management. In the future, Prinx Chengshan will continue to work with Shanghai Jiao Tong University and suppliers to carry out a nearly one-year industry university research project, promote the tripartite collaboration and mutual empowerment, and help the sustainable and high-quality development of the industry.
